Education and Volunteer Programs
Alberta Cattle Co. has a passion for agriculture and continual growth in the industry. By creating a volunteer-ran education program for school-aged kids, and inviting high school and university students to gain hands-on experience, we aim to spread awareness and spark curiosity in the field of agriculture for the next generation of farmers.
High School & University Volunteer Program
In addition to an elementary school visit program, Alberta Cattle Co. also runs a volunteer program aimed toward high school and university students interested in careers in agriculture. By getting students involved at our farm, we hope to encourage students to pursue agriculture.

Volunteer Opportunities include:
-
Running/assisting school education visits
-
On-farm experiential volunteering
The ABCs of ABCC:

This program provides the basics of what happens behind the scenes of a cattle feedlot in a fun and interactive way. Volunteers from our farm will conduct school visits to give children a taste of what it is like to work and run this type of farm.

The key elements of the program include:
-
An introductory message describing our farm
-
An interactive worksheet to familiarize the students with feedlot terminology
-
Hands-on activities
-
A fun quiz to test their knowledge

Alberta Cattle Co. seeks to work together with teachers to create a fun and memorable experience for students.
